Sharing a webpage, photo, or file to Telegram on an iPhone relies on the system share extension. If Telegram is nowhere to be found in the share sheet, it is usually because the extension has been turned off, the list is collapsed, or the app is not installed properly. Work through the steps below in order and you should be able to get it back.
The share extension is provided by the Telegram client, so if the app has been deleted or did not install correctly, it will not appear in the share sheet. Open the Home Screen or the App Library and confirm the Telegram icon is still there. If it is not, reinstall it from the App Store and sign in.
Note: only the official version installed from the App Store registers the share extension. If you previously sideloaded a client with a third-party tool, the system may not recognize the extension, so it is best to switch to the App Store version. After signing in, open any chat first to confirm the app can send and receive messages normally, then go back to the share sheet and test again.
The share sheet shows only frequently used targets by default, and the rest are tucked away under 「More」. Taking Photos as an example: open the Photos app, pick an image, tap the share button in the bottom-left corner, then swipe left on the row of apps in the list that appears and tap 「More」 at the far right.
On the 「More」 page, find Telegram and turn on the switch to its right. If it is already in the list but sits far down, press and hold the three horizontal lines on its right and drag it to a higher position. When you are done, tap 「Done」 and return to the share sheet; Telegram will now appear in the app row.
If Telegram is not in 「More」 at all, the extension has not been loaded by the system, so continue to the next section.
iPhone lets you manage each app's share extensions individually. Open 「Settings」, scroll down to Telegram and enter it, then look for a switch related to sharing; the location varies slightly between iOS versions and may sit under 「Share Extension」 or a similar entry. Make sure the relevant switch is turned on.
After changing it, it is a good idea to fully quit Telegram and reopen it: swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause, flick the Telegram card upward to dismiss it, then open it again. On some models you may need to restart the phone for the share sheet to re-read the extension list. Once restarted, open Photos or Safari again and test whether Telegram appears in the share sheet.
If you have done all of the above and it still does not show up, try these in order: update iOS to the latest version currently available; check the App Store for an available Telegram update and install it; uninstall Telegram and then reinstall it from the App Store and sign in. Reinstalling will not delete your cloud chat history, but locally cached content that has not synced will be cleared, so before doing this make sure important content is visible on another device.
Also note that the share sheet shows the app icon and name, and will not say 「official」. To judge whether the source is reliable, just check whether it was installed from the App Store. If the extension sometimes appears and then disappears, it is usually a system cache issue, and restarting the phone generally helps.
